This Privacy Policy explains how data is collected, used, stored, and protected by the Last Guard Discord bot ("the Bot"), developed and maintained by Scared Donut ("the Developer"). By inviting the Bot to your Discord server, interacting with its commands, or utilizing its services, you acknowledge and consent to the practices described in this comprehensive policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide and maintain its features, Last Guard must collect and process certain data from Discord. We minimize data collection to only what is necessary:

  • Discord Identifiers: We log User IDs, Server IDs (Guilds), Channel IDs, and Role IDs to manage permissions, store server-specific configurations, and track moderation actions.
  • Message Content & Context: Messages sent in channels where the Bot has access may be temporarily or persistently processed. This is strictly required for the Bot's auto-moderation tools and to provide context for the LLM-powered memory and response system.
  • Voice Channel Data: We monitor voice channel states (e.g., when a user joins, leaves, or moves) solely to facilitate the Bot's music and audio playback integrations. We do not record or store audio transmitted by users.
  • Command Usage Data: Information related to the commands you execute, including timestamps and the specific arguments provided (such as ticker symbols for stock market tools, or text prompts for the AI), is recorded for operational functionality and rate-limiting.

2. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is utilized strictly for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of Last Guard:

  • Providing Core Services: Executing commands, playing requested audio, and delivering financial market data.
  • Artificial Intelligence Processing: Message data is analyzed by Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate conversational responses, maintain memory of interactions, and adapt to server-specific context.
  • Moderation & Security: Enforcing server rules, storing infraction logs, issuing warnings, and operating auto-moderation filters based on administrator configurations.
  • Service Improvement & Debugging: Analyzing error logs and command usage metrics to fix bugs, optimize performance, and develop new features.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

We value your privacy and do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. All Artificial Intelligence (LLM) processing is hosted locally on our own infrastructure, meaning no message data or text prompts are ever transmitted to external AI providers. However, limited data may be shared with third parties under the following circumstances:

  • Financial Data Providers: Stock tickers or specific financial queries you execute may be sent to external market APIs strictly to retrieve charts and market data.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored securely on private, access-controlled infrastructure. Access to this infrastructure is strictly limited to the Developer. While we implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Retention Period: We retain data only for as long as it is necessary to provide the Bot's services. Moderation logs, user preferences, and AI memory contexts are maintained until the Bot is removed from a server or a specific deletion request is processed.
  • Your Rights: Server administrators and individual users have the right to request the export or complete deletion of their data at any time. This can be done via the support ticket system linked below or through designated bot commands (if applicable).

6. Children's Privacy

Last Guard operates on Discord and complies with Discord's Terms of Service, which requires users to be at least 13 years old (or older, depending on local laws). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from an underage user, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.
